Field Case 01 · Frame Hunt

We don't make ads. We make reasons to hit pause. Marketing built on mechanisms, not posts.

We made this reel for a Greek e-shop. One of its frames hides a code. People stopped it again and again to catch it. Your turn.

First frame of the Frame Hunt reel: a car in motion.

Press Space or tap the video the moment the code goes by.

The game needs JavaScript. The description below tells you what happens.

Still counting. The percentage appears once there are enough real attempts. Calculated from real attempts on this page only.

Game terms

The game in words: a few seconds of video show a car passing along a road. In one single frame, a code appears. The player pauses with Space or a tap; stop within six frames of the right one, a quarter of a second, and the server issues a unique code for a free strategy session. There's also an untimed step mode, with the arrow keys or the slider on a phone.

Decode

Four reasons people kept hitting pause.

  • Pausing turns watching into a skill game. A curiosity gap begs to be closed (Loewenstein, 1994).
  • Every failed attempt is another view. Watch time is one of Instagram's top three ranking signals, alongside likes and sends (Mosseri, 2025).
  • ‘Can you catch it?’ gets sent to friends. Sends carry the reel to people who don't follow you.
  • The DM is the redemption channel. The customer starts the conversation, inside the platform.

Our thesis

Your audience isn't bored. Your format is.

The average Reel gets engagement from 0.52% of followers (2025). One more nice post is fighting for crumbs. source: Socialinsider · vendor data

What works today does one of three things:

  1. Replay

    It makes people watch again.

The viewer goes back to catch something. Every replay counts as watch time.

    Play: Headphones Only
  2. Send

    It makes people send it.

The result is so personal, or so odd, that it goes to friends. Sends bring in people who didn't know you.

    Play: The Freddo Index
  3. Time

It pulls time onto your own site.

The game lives on your domain, not in a rented feed. That's where you measure, and where the data stays.

    Play: Key in the Sand

Three-question diagnosis

Three answers. One mechanism for you.

Tell us your sector, your goal and your channel. We'll suggest the mechanism that fits, and explain why.

What do you want customers to do?
Where do they come across you?

Answer all three questions.

Honest ranges

We don't promise viral. We promise a mechanism you can measure.

Every scenario comes with an honest range, not a forecast. A first run usually lands in the lower half.

Before we start, we agree one primary KPI and a control: a region that doesn't see the campaign, days without the trigger, or the previous period.

Our rules

  • Every hidden frame or object is announced. EU law bans subliminal techniques.
  • Never ‘share or tag to enter’. Meta bans it, and rightly so.
  • Anything realistic made with AI is labelled (AI Act, Article 50).
  • No more than 3 flashes per second (WCAG 2.3.1).
  • Camera and microphone only after you tap, processed on your own device.
  • Live percentages come from real attempts only. No number is ever seeded.
  • Never fake system or emergency alerts. Surprise doesn't justify distress.
  • For doctors, dentists, pharmacies, lawyers and prize promotions, counsel reviews before any launch.

Sector playbook

Your sector's scenarios, in one PDF.

The mechanisms that suit your sector, with honest ranges, guardrails and production costs. Something to talk through with your team.

Your sector has a hidden frame too. Let's find it.

A Mechanism Sprint takes 10 working days. At the end you have something that runs and gets measured, not a slide deck.

Or just tell us: what do you want people to do the moment they see you?
