Accessibility statement
Version 1.0 · In force from 13 October 2026
Contents
Press Tab. That’s where we start.
The first thing that appears is the ‘Skip to main content’ link. From there on, every menu, form and demo on the site works by keyboard or has a text version. Here we set out what we aim for, what we’ve tested and what’s still to do.
- Target
- WCAG 2.2, level AA
- Status
- Partially conformant; see the known limitations
- Scope
- All of netex.gr, in Greek and English
Don’t take our word for it. Check.
Four tests, one minute.
Keyboard
Press Tab and Shift+Tab. Focus is always visible, with an outline that never hides under the header. Enter opens, Esc closes.
Zoom
Zoom to 200% (Ctrl or Cmd and +). Text reflows with no sideways scrolling, even on a screen 320 pixels wide.
Less motion
Press ‘Less motion’ at the foot of the page, or switch on reduced motion on your device. Animations stop and every section appears in its final state.
Screen reader
Open NVDA, VoiceOver or TalkBack and move by headings. Every page has one H1 and its sections as H2s.
This page, as a machine reads itnetex.gr
With JavaScript on, you’d see readings from this very page here. The four tests work without it too.
Found something that doesn’t work? That’s exactly what we want to hear (see ‘Tell us’).
Standard
Target: WCAG 2.2, level AA.
We aim for the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, at level AA. The European standard EN 301 549 currently points to WCAG 2.1 AA. Version 2.2 builds on 2.1 and adds criteria for focus that isn’t hidden, alternatives to dragging, touch-target size and forms that don’t ask for the same thing twice.
The European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882, transposed in Greece by Law 4994/2022) has applied since 28 June 2025 to consumer-facing products and services, such as online shops. netex.gr doesn’t sell online to consumers, so it most likely falls outside the obligation. We follow the same standard anyway, because it’s what we build for our clients and because this site is our proof.

| 404 page | Dragging the missing node | A single tap on the node, or on the button back to the home page |
Known limitations
Where we don’t measure up yet.
A statement with no limitations wouldn’t be honest. Any audit finding we can’t fix straight away is listed here, with a date.
| What doesn’t work | Who it affects | What to do meanwhile | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visual search games, such as Frame Hunt, can’t be made equivalent without sight | Blind and low-vision users | The text description and the decode lead to the same insight. If you can’t play, write to us and we’ll give you the same prize without the game | inherent |
| Demos that need body movement or speech | People with motor or speech impairments | A ready-made example and a text description in every such demo | inherent |
| The PDFs (Sector Playbook, mini X-Ray, AI Trust Standard) may not be fully accessible | Screen-reader users | We’ll send you an accessible version, in HTML or Word, within two working days of your request | in progress |
| Videos with speech | Deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors | The site’s video loops are silent. Wherever there’s speech, as in the recorded call, there are captions and a transcript. If you find a video without captions, tell us | in progress |
| The large scroll scenes, such as the Industrial AI film, are heavy on older devices and demanding on attention | People on older devices or with cognitive impairments | ‘Less motion’ and a ‘Skip the animation’ link: the content is there as text, in the right order | in progress |
| Third-party content | Everyone | Links to LinkedIn, Instagram, Viber and to sources lead to sites we don’t control | outside our control |
Testing
Machine first. Then a person.
Every page template passes an automated check with axe-core and Lighthouse before it goes live. Automated tools catch only some problems, so we also test by hand:
- keyboard only, on every page and every demo;
- with NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, and TalkBack on Android;
- at 200% and 400% zoom, and at 320 pixels wide;
- with reduced motion, from the device and from the site’s toggle;
- with Greek capitals in Chrome, Safari and Firefox.
We repeat the full audit every three months and after every major change.
Tell us
Did something get in your way? Write to us.
If something on the site doesn’t work for you, write to info@netex.gr with the subject ‘Accessibility’. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and, if you like, which device or assistive technology you use.
A person replies within one working day. If the problem can’t be fixed straight away, we’ll get you the content another way, as text, as a Word file or explained over the phone, and tell you when it will be fixed.
Email us about accessibilityBoth offices welcome visitors. If you need anything to get here, step-free access for instance, let us know beforehand.
For clients
The same standard, on your online shop.
If you run an online shop or a consumer service, the Accessibility Act has most likely applied to you since June 2025. Micro-enterprises providing services, with fewer than 10 staff and turnover or balance sheet of no more than €2m, are exempt (Directive 2019/882, Article 4(5)). We build shops and sites that pass the same tests as this one, and we write their accessibility statements.
